Passau - 24-year-old jumps out of window during attempted arrest
During his attempted arrest, a suspected sex offender jumped through a first-floor window in Passau and escaped for the time being. The sexual assault between the suspect and a 34-year-old woman is said to have taken place on Thursday night, police said on Friday. The next day, when the officers drove to the apartment the two shared with an arrest warrant, the suspect jumped out of the window without further ado. An initial search using a helicopter was unsuccessful. The criminal investigation department is now investigating together with the public prosecutor's office.
