Police in Deggendorf uncovered 17 Syrian refugees, including six minors, inside a truck at Plattling. The 57-year-old driver, believed to be an orchestrator of the smuggling operation, was apprehended during a routine traffic check on a parking lot on the A92 highway. Authorities arrested the man for alleged involvement in foreigner smuggling. It appears the refugees were well-taken-care-of and in good condition.
