Severe weather conditions approaching. - Saxony Warned of Persisting Risk of Flash Floods by State Office
In the Saxon region along the Elbe River, there's a predicted increase of water levels below the alarm level 1 starting from Wednesday. This is due to the rising Elbe in the Czech Republic.
To ensure public safety amid potential flooding, the State Office for Environmental Protection, Agriculture, and Geology (LfULG) issued an emergency appeal to residents. They should be cautious in case of flooding and follow these guidelines: avoiding proximity to flowing bodies of water, steering clear of basements, cellars, and underground garages during heavy rain, and avoiding walking or driving through flooded areas.
