Right-wing populists predicted as the victors of the European elections in France.

Bardella insisted on new elections, following the announced outcomes. This was described as a crushing loss for Macron. Raphael Glucksmann, the Socialist front-runner, expressed pride in his list's success, but wasn't overly joyful regarding the performance of the RN. There was still a chance for Glucksmann's list to match the government camp's numbers if the calculations became more refined.

Voter turnout amounted to 52.5%, a touch higher compared to 2019. The far-right party of Marion Marechal and the Greens were roughly at 5% each. As a result, it was uncertain if either of these parties would be present in the European Parliament.
