Putin requires Kiev to withdraw from four regions and forfeit NATO membership in order to achieve a truce.

Russian President Putin is demanding that Ukraine give up control of specific territories, which are partially under Russian military control. In September 2022, Moscow announced plans to annex regions in eastern and southern Ukraine. This effectively amounts to a call for Ukraine to surrender.

Putin claims that the upcoming peace summit for Ukraine in Switzerland, set for the weekend, is a "diversion maneuver" designed to distract from the true perpetrators of the conflict. He asserts that without Russia involved in the negotiations, it's impossible to reach a peaceful resolution in Ukraine and ensure the overall security of Europe.
