German Defense Minister Boris Pistorius vowed to deliver more weapons to Ukraine, specifically handguns and sniper rifles. He made this pledge while visiting a military training ground in Mecklenburg-Vorpommern alongside Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy. Training for Ukrainian troops on the Patriot air defense system was taking place at this location.

Pistorius also mentioned assistance in the anti-tank weapons sector, components for artillery ammunition, as well as drone-related fields, such as drones and drone defense. Additionally, in cooperation with Denmark, the Netherlands, and Norway, an additional 100 Patriot missiles will be provided. 32 missiles were already sent, and the remaining 68 are expected to arrive in the coming weeks. Pistorius mentioned that he had previously declared an aid program of around 500 million euros, which includes self-propelled howitzers, 350 drone systems, 300 artillery barrels, and essential ammunition for air defense.

Zelenskyy expressed his gratitude for the support and praised some of the Ukrainian soldiers present, all of whom had combat experience in the war. The majority of the soldiers at the site hailed from temporarily occupied regions in Ukraine. "You're highly motivated to learn quickly, return home, and win the battle," Zelenskyy told the gathered soldiers during his visit via helicopter from Berlin. There, he participated in an international reconstruction conference for his country and addressed the German parliament.
