In a chat with "Variety," Beckham, aged 49, recalled discovering a note on his car's windshield after leaving a pub with his wife Victoria. The message read, "We're sorry for the way you were treated." Beckham didn't know who penned the note. He believes this sentiment was likely felt after the documentary was released.

After the "Beckham" documentary, "Beckham" took away the gravity of mental health issues. "Twenty years ago, no one was talking about it," Beckham stated. "However, it's incredible how much people can now openly discuss their emotions."
