David Beckham was ostracized after the 1998 FIFA World Cup

In the autumn, a film centering on former British football player David Beckham aired on Netflix. The documentary offers insight into Beckham's public perception after the 1998 World Cup. After the "Beckham" documentary, "Beckham" took away the gravity of mental health issues. "Twenty years ago, no one was talking about it," Beckham stated. "However, it's incredible how much people can now openly discuss their emotions."
