Mob in Pakistan brutally slays individual following blasphemy allegations
In the heart of Pakistan, a 45-year-old man from Punjab province met a gruesome fate. He was accused of blasphemy and sadly, his life was taken in a violent mob attack. The incident took place in the Swat Valley, a famed tourist destination in the northern part of the country.
As per reports by the German Press Agency, who were informed by the police, this man was initially in police custody before the horrifying events unfolded. A crowd of hundreds stormed the building, leading to chaos, and ultimately, casting the man out onto the streets.
Shocking footage circulating on social media shows a crowd gathered around a lifeless, burning body. The circumstance leading to the victim's death remains unclear, but police reports suggest he was severely beaten with sticks. The authorities are conducting an investigation into the matter.
It's worth noting that incidents of violence or arrests due to blasphemy accusations are distressingly common in Pakistan. Just a year ago, a Christian quarter in the city of Jaranwala experienced a brutal attack that sparked widespread outrage throughout the nation.
