Long jumper Malaika Mihambo is a favorite at the European Athletics Championships in Rome after her impressive 7.03-meter jump during her first attempt this year. Sadly, Laura Raquel Mueller was eliminated after achieving only 6.43 meters.

Meanwhile, the German men's 4x400-meter relay team made it to the final by securing seventh place thanks to the efforts of Jean Paul Bredau, a strong closing runner representing Potsdam. Despite a disqualification, the German relay team had already qualified for the final with their time of 3:01.44 min. The women's 4x400-meter relay team also reached the final with a time of 3:25.90 min, putting them in contention for a spot in the Olympics.

Lastly, Majtie Kolberg, an athlete on the women's team, qualified for the 800 meters final, setting a personal best of 1:58.74 min. This is an impressive achievement considering her past strong performances in Rome, indicating potential medal chances.
