Mbappé requires a surgical procedure to address a fractured nasal bone.

The worrying state of Kylian Mbappe, a key player for France's National team, remains uncertain following his nasal bone fracture. Whether he requires more time before resuming play is yet to be determined. However, coach Didier Deschamps has shed some light on the matter, albeit in a less than encouraging fashion.

It has been revealed that Mbappe will need surgery to address his broken nose, although the exact timeline for this procedure is not clear. "Although it may not be immediate, he will undergo a surgical procedure," Deschamps stated in a video published by the French Football Federation.

Further examination of Mbappe's condition is expected to take place on Wednesday to assess his progress.

Deschamps commented on the significant impact the injury has had, stating, "The medical team did everything conceivable to minimize the severity of the aftermath." The Federation has promised an update on Mbappe's health status on Wednesday.

Kevin Danso expresses desire for a speedy recovery

It remains uncertain whether Mbappe will be able to participate in France's second European Championship match against the Netherlands on Friday. A definite prognosis is premature, according to Federation President Philippe Diallo in Paderborn. French media have speculated that his recovery might be too swift. "He seems to be improving this morning, we'll take it one day at a time," Deschamps commented.

Austrian National defender Kevin Danso expressed his hope for Mbappe's swift recovery earlier today. Danso's shoulder collided with Mbappe during Monday evening's 1:0 win for France against Austria in Duesseldorf, resulting in Mbappe's broken nose. "To the French fans: I apologize for Kylian Mbappe's injury during our game. I wish him a speedy recovery and hope he returns to action soon," Danso shared on Instagram. Danso had previously spent a season at Fortuna Duesseldorf before moving to Lens three years ago.
