A man has been fatally injured after being hit by a freight train at the train station in Eystrup (Nienburg/Weser district). The man died at the scene of the accident, the police announced on Wednesday. According to witness reports, he tried to cross the track bed onto another platform on Tuesday afternoon. During this crossing, the man appeared to be heavily intoxicated. According to the police, it was not yet possible to identify the victim.
