Professional Men's Tennis Circuit - Koepfer removed from Stuttgart tennis competition.

Dominik Koepfer, a player in the Davis Cup, came close but missed making it to the quarterfinals at the grass court tournament in Stuttgart. The 30-year-old player faced the fifth-seeded Italian, Lorenzo Musetti, and lost in a close match with scores of 7-6 (11-9), 6-7 (5-7), 3-6.

This exciting and entertaining encounter in the eighth round saw Koepfer, ranked 65th globally, showing off his skills on the court and his speed against the Italian favorite. He also managed to remain calm despite having five break point chances against him at the beginning of the match. Koepfer was almost at the brink of victory in the second tiebreak, needing only two more points to reach his first ATP quarterfinal on grass.

Then, in the third set, there were three breaks, with Koepfer recovering from a 1-3 deficit but then losing his serve again at 3-5. A bit disappointed, the Stuttgart native said, "Bitter. I got careless, and it wasn't enough."

At the Weissenhof event, the tennis pros are gearing up for Wimbledon, which will take place from the 1st to the 14th of July. Yannick Hanfmann and Jan-Lennard Struff, whose game against the American title defender Frances Tiafoe was planned after Koepfer's, both proceeded to the quarterfinals. Struff, who was the last year's finalist, will only play again on Thursday. The top-ranked German, Alexander Zverev, pulled out of this tournament with a total prize money of 812,235 euros after losing the French Open finals.
