Downpours and more downpours: Germany's Weather Service (DWD) predicts wet weather ahead for Bavaria. Between Friday and Sunday, expect heavy rainfall with totals ranging from 50 to 90 liters per square meter. In certain areas, up to 150 liters per square meter is possible. The DWD has issued a precautionary notice.

The Bavarian Flood Information Service (HND) noted on Corpus Christi that only at the Schwarzach in Warnbach (Swandorf region) hit level 1 of 4. In this stage, water might occasionally overflow. Initially, the HND anticipated no flood incidents, yet local flooding could not be entirely discounted. The police departments confirmed no losses or casualties.

Thursday's DWD forecast includes heavy rain, individual thunderstorms, strong winds, and minor hail. Friday is forecast to be overcast, with rain spreading from the south. In Bavaria's north, expect showers and thunderstorms even after a dry start.

On Saturday, DWD anticipates mainly rainy conditions and temperatures between 13 and 18 degrees Celsius. The rain may turn drier in the southern part from afternoon. Sunday is expected to have rain especially around the Danube and in Swabia. However, at eastern Alpine foothills and the Bavarian Forest, it may be completely dry. Temperatures will reach highs of between 16 and 21 degrees Celsius.
