"GQ": Louis Hofmann is one of the "Men of the Year"
Actor Louis Hofmann ("Alles Licht, das wir nicht sehen"), who became world-famous with Netflix series, is one of the men of the year for the German edition of style magazine "GQ". The 26-year-old received the award for "Actor of the Year", the Munich-based magazine announced. "Since his international breakthrough with the series "Dark", Hofmann has also been one of the most sought-after German actors of his generation abroad." The "GQ" awards will take place on November 30 as a dinner gala in Berlin.
Hofmann, who was born in Bergisch-Gladbach and lives in Berlin, told the magazine in an interview that he has a penchant for "such suffering and tormented characters", but doesn't just want to do it. He is looking forward to new challenges: "Many of my characters will still get a certain sensitivity from me, but I'm definitely looking forward to the time when I won't just be the suffering young man."
In addition to Hofmann, performance artist Marina Abramović has already been revealed as another winner of the "GQ" evening this week. GQ magazine has many international editions, including in the USA, the UK, Mexico and China. In Germany, the "Men of the Year" will be honored for the 25th time.
