A truck caught fire completely on the A9 highway near Garching, along with seven loaded cars. The vehicle caught fire due to blocked brakes in the night, the police reported.

According to police, the A9 towards Munich had to be completely closed due to heavy smoke. This caused significant delays due to the onset of rush hour. The highway was reopened about four hours after the fire started. The extent of damage to the truck and the seven cars, including two electric vehicles, was initially unknown. No injuries were reported.

The police advised motorists to avoid the A9 highway due to the truck fire and smoke. Emergency services worked closely with the police to manage traffic and ensure safety.
