A 70-year-old individual from the United States has been transferred to Germany as they face charges of murder. Authorities in Schweinfurt allege that this former US soldier stabbed an 18-year-old pupil 14 times in 1978. A trial against this person is not anticipated before the autumn, the prosecutor's office declared on Friday. Officers of Schweinfurt scooped up the man in Nebraska in the US and brought him into custody as soon as he set foot in Germany.

This suspect was apprehended in Nebraska last year in June. It is reported that he was stationed in Unterfranken as a soldier in the US military in 1978. The accusations against him have lingered for years. However, only recently could the attack be corroborated as precise evidence due to developing DNA technology.

The suspect initially intrigued investigators in 1996. He was reportedly dating the victim at the time of the crime. In his initial inquiries, he continued to deny involvement in the crime. However, he allegedly confessed the crime to his wife in the USA later on.
