- Driver arrested while waiting for breakdown service
The police arrested a man on the A3 motorway near Nuremberg in the morning. While checking his identification, they discovered that there was an outstanding arrest warrant for him on charges of assault. The police then took him into custody immediately and transported him to the Nuremberg prison.
Originally, the police had only come to secure the scene of the breakdown. The man had reportedly broken down on the hard shoulder at the Nuremberg-North interchange due to a flat tire on his van.
After checking his identification, the police discovered an arrest warrant for the man on charges of assault. Subsequently, the police continued to keep him in custody at the Nuremberg prison.
