The theme for Mainz Carnival 2025 has been chosen, blending Mainz dialect and English. It goes: "In Meenz to party, that's cool, but never neglect the Float Plate!" A panel of Fastnachtsvereine members, businesses, and media decided on this motto on Monday in Mainz. They had to sift through 161 suggestions submitted to the Mainz Carnival Association (MCA).

The widely known Mainz Float Plate was expected to make an appearance in the new slogan. The festive display, which raises funds for the Rosenmontagszug via sales, will be 75 years old next year. The phrase subtly advises not to overlook the plaque during the festivities.

Selecting the motto early allows the Bespitzeler and Liederzauber to have ample preparation time. The Rosenmontag with the traditional parade in Mainz occurs on March 3rd in 2025, with carnival celebrations coming to a colorful end on Ash Wednesday, March 5th, 2025.
