To tackle the recurring string of incidents involving fires in Cottbus, the city's second biggest locale, specific measures are being implemented. Mayor Tobias Schick detailed these strategies. "We're planning to boost the workforce in the law enforcement division of the public safety office and in civil defense in the mid-term," he stated. Lately, the city center's surveillance cameras have been intensified, and hassles like overgrown greenery obstructing sightlines, such as in the park on Puschkinpromenade, have been minimized.

The city of Brandenburg has witnessed a series of suspected arson incidents lately. Approximately 31 cases involving containers and 15 cases involving vehicles have been identified and reported to the authorities. The increased sense of insecurity has pushed the city to implement additional precautionary measures in response to such occurrences, as the mayor explained.

The city of Cottbus, which experienced a string of incidents involving fires, is located in the federal state of Brandenburg. The authorities in Brandenburg have also been dealing with a series of suspected arson cases in their city, specifically involving containers and vehicles in Cottbus.
