Berlin court convicts male for sexually assaulting a 12-year-old girl.
In November 2023, a 24-year-old man allegedly lured a child to his apartment during a Christmas market in Spandau. There, he's said to have raped the kid before returning him to the market.
The public prosecutor charged the Afghan native with abducting the boy, claiming he was forced to leave the Christmas market due to threats of violence. In court, the accused denied these allegations. He claimed the child willingly followed him to his apartment because he'd agreed to pay him 20 euros.
