National striker - Bayern women's soccer players out of action: Eriksson with broken foot

After the loss of national striker Klara Bühl, FC Bayern Munich's women's soccer team have to cope with their next personnel setback. The Bundesliga club announced on Friday that central defender Magdalena Eriksson suffered a fracture in her left metatarsal during the 1-1 draw against Ajax Amsterdam in the Champions League on Thursday evening. The 30-year-old Swede had to be substituted after just 23 minutes. She underwent surgery on Friday morning. The national player's soccer year is over prematurely and she will be out of action for several weeks.

Bühl suffered a muscle injury in the 3-0 Bundesliga win over Bayer Leverkusen on Monday evening. The 23-year-old will also be out for several weeks.

Before the winter break, the Bayern women still have the Bundesliga match against 1. FC Nürnberg on Sunday and the second leg of the Champions League against Amsterdam on Wednesday.
