Basketball enthusiasts caused disturbances ahead of the final tournament in Berlin.

The upcoming Basketball Euroleague Final Four in Berlin has already witnessed hostile events between rival fan groups. Incidents like throwing bottles and using pyrotechnics occurred before the games even started. An estimated sixty people attempted to force their way into the Uber Arena, but were prevented by the authorities.

Prior to the highly-anticipated Basketball Euroleague Final Four held in the Berlin Arena, Ostbahnhof, conflicts arose between supporters of Panathinaikos Athens and Fenerbahce Istanbul. As per a police spokeswoman, bottles were hurled, and pyrotechnics were employed. With this chaotic scenario, around sixty fans took advantage and made their way into the arena despite it being momentarily closed for admissions.

The police diligently identified these individuals and barred them from attending the match, even if they possessed valid tickets. Additionally, the police likewise prohibited the infringing fans from the venue. Eventually, access to the arena was restored for the remaining attendees.

The most elite four teams in the Euroleague will square off in Berlin this week. Panathinaikos Athens will clash with Fenerbahce Istanbul in the semi-finals, followed by the matchup between Real Madrid and Olympiakos Piraeus. While Alba Berlin and Bayern Munich failed to make it to the play-offs, with Munich settling for 15th place and Berlin finishing at a dismal 18th, last.
