A severely wounded worker from a biogas facility has perished in the hospital. The prosecutor's office declared this news on Friday. An explosion at the plant in southern Lower Saxony, Hardegsen, took place in mid-May where two people were critically hurt, and two more sustained minor injuries. One of the critically injured individuals is currently in clinical care. According to earlier reports in "Göttinger Tageblatt," the mishap led to an explosion in a waste storage facility. The exact cause of the explosion is still being investigated. The fire department was dispatched to extinguish the fire, involving flammable materials in addition to the imploded film.
