Mishaps or Incidents - A 62-year-old paraglider meets with an accident and ends up in a forest.

A 62-year-old paraglider crashed in Unterfranken after tangling with a misleading air current. He received minor injuries, as confirmed by the police on Wednesday. The man set off on his paragliding adventure alongside a 71-year-old friend in the area of Gössenheim (Main-Spessart district). The 62-year-old was believed to be searching for a lifting air current, which he may have mistakenly ventured into a side air current, resulting in the loss of control over the paraglider. The 71-year-old witness observed the collapsing paraglider, then the 62-year-old plummeting into the woods. The witness managed to land safely with his paraglider and dialed for emergency assistance. Firefighters and rescue teams arrived in time to retrieve the 62-year-old pilot, according to police.
